(Buyer) How do I gain ownership of a domain after I complete the purchase?

You can gain ownership of a domain through a “push”, when the seller moves the domain from their account to your account in the same registrar/hosting provider. Once the seller unlocks the domain and sends it to the buyer with a verified email address, the domain will be available at the receiving account. A push allows for an easier and faster transfer, with no additional cost to the buyer or the seller. That is why a push is the preferred option for DomainEasy transfers.

If you are already working with a registrar/hosting provider that is different from the seller’s, we will provide you with an authorization code to initiate the transfer at your own registrar. Please note that authorization codes may not work for certain domain extensions. We will send specific instructions for those transactions to facilitate the transfer.
